Hair loss can be devastating for some, but going through this trauma alone can be even harder on your mental health. Whether you’re new to wigs or a seasoned wearer, our boutique and care team treat everyone with the utmost care, kindness and, most importantly, confidentiality.

Just as we all come in different shapes and sizes, it is just as true that wigs do not operate on a one-size-fits-all model. Our wig care specialists will take the time and care in finding the wig that suits you best.
What looks good online may not look the same on you. When you book a private fitting with us we take your needs, requirements and lifestyle into account. Some things to consider when shopping for a wig.
- Your lifestyle – do you wish to exercise with a wig on?
- Your face shape, skin colour and personal preferences.
- Whether you’re someone who likes wearing you hair in different styles (up or down), and playing with different looks.
- Whether you’re just a wash and wear person with little interest in styling a wig.
You might be surprised how fantastic a wig that you never considered could look good on you!
OUR WIG APPROACH
We have a no pressure approach. Our goal is to make you feel confident in yourself and your appearance – we do that by listening to you and understanding your personal situation and lifestyle. Our staff are trained to care for you as an individual. Should you be struggling with a decision, or simply just not prepared to make a decision, we will schedule an additional appointment for you to return.
We are also very active in wig education and are always willing to share our knowledge!
THE LOOK GOOD FEEL BETTER PROGRAM
Wig Boutique Barrie & Hair Prosthesis Centre is an active member of the Look Good Feel Better (LGFB) initiative whose goal is to offer free beauty workshops to those affected by cancer. The goal of these workshops is to bring a woman’s identity and power back after being labeled as “a cancer patient”.

Our boutique doesn’t only cater to women as we have helped many male clients find their mojo, as well! Hair loss does not discriminate against age, gender or background and men are just as susceptible to feeling embarrassed about their hair loss.
Our expertise in the hair replacement industry stands out amongst the rest. We have clients who have experienced hair loss or thinning from other causes, such as from severe burns or thyroid disease. In these situations, we utilize our custom creation skills developing units that are specific for the clients unique needs.
In order to shed some light into the health of your hair and scalp, we also offer a Hair Mineral Analysis. This analysis offers insight on a cellular level that could show you possible imbalances within your body before symptoms pop up. By no means is this a substitute for proper medical diagnoses in identifying specific illnesses; but rather, an idea of where your nutritional needs could improve.
TRICHOLOGY & HAIR LOSS SPECIALISTS
