Here at the Hair Prosthesis Centre, we pride ourselves in a personal approach. Private rooms are always used and clients enjoy complete confidentiality in all aspects. We do not participate in mailing lists or a pressured approach.
No personal information either from visiting the center directly, or questions submitted online will be dispersed to any third party. We are here to help in any way we can with your hair concerns.
Hair Prosthesis with Medical Coverage:
Insurance Coverage and Payment options
Some health coverage plans cover one hair replacement per individual for medical reasons. Some cover expenses on an as required basis. You will want to verify this with your insurance carrier. There are several preparations you can make to speed up processing of a claim.
- Prescription from your doctor stating "Hair Prosthesis required for medical reasons" This must be dated by your doctor prior to your initial replacement consultation and show your name, address, and phone number.
- Have our associate write a sales receipt for a medical hair prosthesis, with a description and total cost.
- A letter from your employer for the insurance company stating they are in agreement that our services will ensure your comfort and happiness your work environment.
- Retain photocopies of all relevant information for insurance and personal records.
Note: A medical prescription for a wig in either circumstance exempts you from PST at the time of purchase. The office must retain the original Prescription in our records.
Hair Prosthesis with NO Medical Coverage:

Note: A medical prescription can be used in full for a medical tax write-off on your Income Tax.
